Morong, Bataan is a little and quiet town in the northern part of Luzon in the Philippines. The town is famous for a historical event called the Battle of Bataan – one of the last stands of American and Filipino soldiers before they were overwhelmed by the Japanese forces in World War II. The Bataan Death March was named for this province, where the infamous march started.
Who would have thought that this sleepy town will captivate my beach-bum soul?
The waves were big and the shore was wide. I never really liked black sand until I saw this in Bataan. Though I never went into the water, I loved how I sat on the sand and just be amazed by how beautiful everything looked – in pictures and in reality.
And there is nothing more beautiful than the way the ocean refuses to stop kissing the shore line no matter how many times it is sent away. Indeed, I was glad I had my dose of happy pill this weekend. Till next time! -Kim
